Narrator (contextual, within the Purāṇic narration)
Scene: Indra brightens with joy upon hearing the brāhmaṇa’s righteous request; the brāhmaṇa is portrayed as austere and trustworthy; a subtle temple/altar indicates sacred property and offerings kept intact.
True virtue includes gratitude and strict avoidance of misappropriating sacred/temple wealth (devasva).
This verse is character-description within a tīrtha narrative; it does not name the site.
A moral prescription: devasva must be avoided (not consumed or exploited).
