Type: kshetra
Scene: A pilgrim-devotee in Kāśī stands at a ghat at dawn, eyes fixed inwardly on Puṇḍarīkākṣa; above, a subtle vision of Viṣṇu-pada (lotus-footprint) radiates, drawing the gaze away from worldly multiplicity.
Direct your vision and contemplation toward the Supreme alone; single-pointed devotion is presented as the disciplined rule.
Kāśī is the overarching sacred context of Kāśīkhaṇḍa, where focused contemplation and nāma-smaraṇa are praised as especially fruitful.
A discipline (niyama) of contemplation is implied: treat the Lotus-eyed Lord as the primary object of meditation and spiritual seeing.
