हा पूर्णचंद्रमुख हा सुनखांगुलीक हा चाटुकारवचनामृतवीचिपूर । दुःखैः कियद्भिरहहां गमयात्वमाप्तः किं किं कृतं गृहपते न मया त्वदाप्त्यै

hā pūrṇacaṃdramukha hā sunakhāṃgulīka hā cāṭukāravacanāmṛtavīcipūra | duḥkhaiḥ kiyadbhirahahāṃ gamayātvamāptaḥ kiṃ kiṃ kṛtaṃ gṛhapate na mayā tvadāptyai

Aduhai, wajahmu laksana purnama! Aduhai, jari dan kuku yang elok! Aduhai, kata-kata manismu bagaikan gelombang amerta! Dengan berapa banyak duka—ah—engkau direnggut dariku? Wahai tuan rumahku, apa yang belum kulakukan demi memperolehmu dan menjagamu?
