Transliteration

mahiṣāsure mahākāye purā devabhayaṃkare | śūlinyā śūlabhinnāṅge kṛte dānavasattame

Translation

Dahulu kala, Mahiṣāsura yang bertubuh raksasa—mengerikan bagi para dewa—ketika ditikam oleh Dewi pemegang trisula, anggota tubuhnya terkoyak oleh trisula, dan sang utama di antara para dānava pun ditumbangkan.
