It proclaims Shiva as Pati—the supreme Lord who transcends ordinary cognition (speech, mind, and action) and is approached most truly through surrender (śaraṇāgati) and grace, a key Shaiva Siddhanta emphasis.
Though Shiva is ultimately beyond perception (agocara), devotees worship Him through accessible forms like the Linga (saguna upāsanā), by which the mind is purified and led toward the transcendent Reality.
Practice śaraṇāgati with japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and disciplined purification of speech, mind, and action; this aligns devotion with yogic restraint rather than mere intellectual pursuit.
