उदू अयाँ उपवक्तेव बाहू हिरण्यया सविता सुप्रतीका । दिवो रोहांस्यरुहत्पृथिव्या अरीरमत्पतयत्कच्चिदभ्वम् ॥

udū́ ayā́m upavaktéva bāhū́ hiraṇyáyā savitā́ suprátīkā | divó rohā́ṃsy aruhat pṛthivyā́ arī́ramat patáyat kác cid ábhvam ||

Ke atas ia mengembangkan kedua lengannya, laksana pengarah yang mendorong dan menuntun kerja; Savitṛ, bersinar keemasan dalam daya pembentukannya, elok dalam penampakannya. Ia mendaki tanjakan-tanjakan langit dari keluasan bumi; ia menata segala sesuatu dalam gerak yang benar, terbang bahkan menembus keluasan yang tak dikenal.
