Mokṣopāya: Bhakti-rooted Jñāna and the Aṣṭāṅga Yoga of Viṣṇu-Meditation
क्रमेण योजयेद्वायुं योगी विगतकल्मषः । स सर्वपापनिर्मुक्तो ब्रह्मणः पदमाप्नुयात् ॥ २८ ॥
krameṇa yojayedvāyuṃ yogī vigatakalmaṣaḥ | sa sarvapāpanirmukto brahmaṇaḥ padamāpnuyāt || 28 ||
Seorang yogi yang suci hendaknya mengatur prāṇa (nafas kehidupan) setahap demi setahap. Bebas dari segala dosa, ia mencapai kedudukan tertinggi Brahman.
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada in the Moksha-oriented discourse of Purva Bhaga)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It presents prāṇāyāma as a disciplined, gradual method of inner purification that removes pāpa (sin/impurity) and culminates in realizing the Brahman-state (liberation).
While the verse is primarily yogic, it supports bhakti indirectly by emphasizing purification and steadiness of mind—conditions that make one fit for single-pointed devotion and higher realization.
It aligns with Śikṣā in the sense of disciplined breath/voice regulation used in Vedic practice, and with broader yoga-śāstra method: gradual training (krama) rather than forced control.
