द्रौपदी-शैब्यसंवादः — Draupadī’s Identification and Counsel on Hospitality
एवमुक्तस्तु गन्धर्व: पाण्डवेन महात्मना | उवाच यत् कर्ण वयं मन्त्रयन्तो विनिर्गता:
evam uktas tu gandharvaḥ pāṇḍavena mahātmanā | uvāca yat karṇa vayaṁ mantrayanto vinirgatāḥ ||
Setelah demikian disapa oleh Pāṇḍava yang mulia, sang Gandharva menjawab: “Wahai Karna, kami keluar ketika sedang bermusyawarah.”
दुर्योधन उवाच
The verse highlights that actions occur within contexts of intention and counsel: disrupting or provoking others who are acting with deliberation can escalate conflict and bring consequences. It subtly contrasts rash aggression with purposeful, restrained conduct—an ethical reminder relevant to dharma in conflict.
A Gandharva, having been addressed by a noble Pāṇḍava, responds by telling Karṇa that they had come out while engaged in counsel. The line situates the Gandharvas as acting in an organized, intentional manner during the unfolding confrontation involving Duryodhana’s party.
