अग्रणीर्ग्रामणी: श्रीमान् न््यायो नेता समीरण: । सहस्मूर्धा विश्वात्मा सहस्राक्ष: सहस्रपात्
agraṇīr grāmaṇīḥ śrīmān nyāyo netā samīraṇaḥ | sahasramūrdhā viśvātmā sahasrākṣaḥ sahasrapāt ||
Bhishma berkata: Ia adalah Pemimpin terdepan yang menuntun para pencari menuju kedudukan tertinggi; penguasa rombongan segala makhluk; mulia dan bercahaya. Ia adalah perwujudan keadilan dan nalar yang bersandar pada bukti; penggerak yang menjalankan mesin jagat; dan Samīraṇa, yang sebagai napas menghidupkan daya gerak pada semua. Ia digambarkan meliputi segalanya: berkepala seribu, menjadi Diri semesta; bermata seribu dan berkaki seribu.
