Rudra’s Hymn: Vision of Nārāyaṇa, the Emergence of the Ādityas, and the Mutual Boon of Hari and Hara
śrīvarāha uvāca | iti stutas tadā devo rudreṇāmitatejasā | uvāca vākyaṃ santuṣṭo meghagambhīraniḥsvanaḥ || 73.38 ||
Varāha
It reflects a common Purāṇic narrative pattern in which a hymn of praise (stuti) prompts a formal divine response, illustrating the text’s dialogic and performative style.
No geographic location is named in this verse; it focuses on the narrative transition from praise to the deity’s reply.
The verse does not present a direct ethical injunction; it emphasizes respectful address and the narrative premise that measured praise leads into doctrinal or instructive speech.
