Gadādhara
etasmāt kāraṇāt putra ahametau vigṛhya vai | āgato’smi bhavantaṃ vai draṣṭuṃ yāsyāmi sāmpratam | etasmāt kāraṇād raibhya bhavān dhanyo mayocyate || 7.24 ||
Varāha (default dialogue framework; speaker not explicit in excerpt)
It illustrates a common Purāṇic narrative device: a speaker frames actions through explicit causality (“for this reason…”) and uses honorific address to mark social-ethical valuation (declaring someone “fortunate”), reflecting courtly and didactic Sanskrit discourse.
No explicit geographic toponym appears in this verse fragment; it is primarily interpersonal and narrative, addressing a figure named Raibhya.
The verse emphasizes accountability through stated reasons for action and confers ethical recognition (“fortunate”) upon the addressee, suggesting that merit is acknowledged through conduct and relational duty within the narrative.
