Nārada’s Journey to Śvetadvīpa and the Means of Attaining the Lord through the Pañcarātra
nārada uvāca | sahasram ekaṁ varṣāṇāṁ dhyātas tvaṁ bhuvaneśvara | tvat-prāptir yena tad brūhi yadi tuṣṭo 'si me 'cyuta || 66.9 ||
Nārada
It exemplifies the Purāṇic dialogic method, where a revered interlocutor (Nārada) frames a doctrinal inquiry—here, the means of ‘attainment’—in a concise, transmissible verse form.
No specific geographic site is named in this verse; the address “bhuvaneśvara” is a cosmological epithet (‘Lord of the worlds’) rather than a place-reference.
The verse foregrounds disciplined contemplation (dhyāna) combined with humility and inquiry as a legitimate approach to understanding the means of spiritual attainment.
