uvāca ca prasannātmā pratyakṣatvaṁ gataḥ prabhuḥ | varaṁ brahmasuta brūhi kiṁ te dadmi mahāmune || 66.8 ||
भगवान अब सामने खड़े थे और बिल्कुल खुश थे। उन्होंने कहा, ब्रह्मा के बेटा, बोलो क्या चाहिए तुम्हे। महा-मुनि, मैं क्या दूँ तुम्हे?
Varāha (Prabhu)
It reflects a common Purāṇic narrative motif: a deity becomes directly manifest (pratyakṣa) and offers a boon to a qualified ascetic, illustrating the text’s performative framework for transmitting teachings through dialogue.
No specific geographic site is named in this verse; it focuses on the moment of direct manifestation and the offering of a boon.
The verse foregrounds the cultural ideal of respectful dialogue and the recognition of ascetic authority: the figure addressed as “mahāmune” is invited to articulate a measured request, implying restraint and clarity in seeking benefits.
