Nārada’s Journey to Śvetadvīpa and the Means of Attaining the Lord through the Pañcarātra
vedena pāñcarātreṇa bhaktyā yajñena ca dvija | prāpyo 'haṃ nānyathā vatsa varṣa-koṭy-āyutair api || 66.18 ||
Varāha
It reflects a Purāṇic synthesis that recognizes multiple authoritative soteriological frameworks—Vedic practice, Pāñcarātra tradition, devotion (bhakti), and sacrificial ritual—indicating the textual negotiation between older Vedic ritualism and later devotional systems.
No geographic site is named in this verse; it is doctrinal rather than topographical.
The verse emphasizes disciplined adherence to recognized paths—scriptural learning, ritual practice, and devotion—presented as structured means of spiritual attainment rather than as mere longevity or the passage of time.
