पहले संकल्प लो, जो विधि है उस हिसाब से। फिर उसी तरह से नहा लो। उसके बाद नारायण भगवान की पूजा करो। वो बिल्कुल साफ हैं, कोई दोष नहीं।
Varāha
Saṅkalpa aligns will; snāna aligns body; exclusive Nārāyaṇa-worship aligns mind—together forming integrated sādhana.
Begin vrata with clear intention, maintain bodily purity, and keep the iṣṭa-devatā focus undivided during worship.
After making saṅkalpa per prior vidhi, perform snāna accordingly and worship Nārāyaṇa alone (exclusive devotion) as the pure deity.
Correct saṅkalpa + snāna + Nārāyaṇa-arcana yields ritual purity and vrata-phala; deviation undermines efficacy.
Establishes the core upāsanā (Nārāyaṇa-arcana) that leads to the fruit.
Implicit Vaiṣṇava exclusivity toward Nārāyaṇa.
Varāha Purāṇa 50.50.6-7 (aṅga-pūjā of Hari with specific epithets/mantras)
It reflects a Purāṇic synthesis of ritual discipline (saṅkalpa and snāna) with focused devotional worship, illustrating how later Sanskrit traditions systematized practice through concise procedural injunctions.
No explicit geographic location is named in this verse; it is framed as a general procedural instruction rather than a site-specific description.
The verse emphasizes disciplined intentionality (saṅkalpa) and ritual cleanliness (snāna) coupled with single-pointed worship of a morally pure ideal (akalmaṣa), presenting purity and focused devotion as guiding principles.
