FAQs

It exemplifies Purāṇic sacred geography by locating named landscapes (Mandara, Muñjavān) and framing them as culturally valued, aesthetically idealized environments.

A peak called Muñjavān, described as lying north of Mandara; modern identification is uncertain and typically treated as a mytho-geographic toponym in Purāṇic literature.

An implicit philosophical instruction: landscapes are portrayed as pure and worthy of reverent attention, supporting a stewardship-oriented view of nature as cultural heritage.
