Ancestral Offering
tān uddhṛtya varārohe somalokaṃ sa gacchati || muktena nīlaṣaṇḍena yatpuṇyaṃ jāyate bhuvi ||
Varāha
It exemplifies how Purāṇic texts connect household-linked ethical acts with cosmological destinations (e.g., Somaloka) as part of a moral narrative.
No terrestrial place is named; Somaloka is a cosmological realm rather than a geographic site.
Meritorious action is portrayed as benefiting both ancestors and the actor, reinforcing intergenerational responsibility.
