Pitṛyajña/Śrāddha
amṛtaṃ kṣarayantyaś ca pracaranti mahītale || etāsāṃ caiva dānena śīghraṃ mucyeta kilbiṣāt ||
Varāha (default, dialogue framework)
The verse showcases a characteristic Purāṇic linkage between symbolic cosmology (amṛta imagery) and practical ethics (charity as moral repair).
Only a general reference to ‘the earth’s surface’ (mahītala) appears; no specific toponym is given.
That acts of giving are framed as a means of ethical restoration and social support.
