Varāha (default, dialogue framework)
It records classical descriptions of extreme tapas practices (pañcāgni, ūrdhvabāhu, ekapāda), relevant to the history of asceticism and the rhetoric of spiritual power in Purāṇic literature.
No location is named; the verse describes a practice rather than a site.
It highlights self-discipline and mental steadiness (ekacitta, niścala) as central to ascetic practice, presenting restraint as a method of cultivating inner power.
