Varāha
Peace is not abstract: it includes health systems, food security, and climate regularity (kāla-suvṛṣṭi).
Frame worship with concrete welfare intentions—support farmers, protect cattle, maintain cleanliness and public health, and cultivate non-violence that stabilizes community life.
As Earth-sustainer, Varāha’s cosmic function is echoed in prayers for rain, crops, and health—macrocosmic ‘earth-rescue’ becomes ongoing ecological maintenance.
Timely rain and abundance are classic yajña-fruits; the mantra frames society’s well-being as the outcome of harmonized ritual order (ṛta).
Interdependence: human conduct/intent (dharma, śānti) conditions the mind and community, which in turn shapes how one experiences the world’s ‘order’ as supportive rather than hostile.
Pray for eradication of disease, prosperity of agriculture, abundance of food, timely rains, and peace as core aims of public welfare rites.
When rulers and communities uphold dharma and śānti rites, prosperity and health are supported; adharma correlates with roga, drought, and scarcity.
Varāha Purāṇa 182.33 (śānti-japa for social groups)
It provides a compact welfare-program formula—health, agrarian success, food security, and seasonal rains—useful for studying Purāṇic environmental imagination and agrarian priorities.
No specific location is mentioned; the verse is a general benediction oriented to ecological and social stability.
Collective well-being as a guiding value: the text foregrounds health, sustainable agriculture, and timely rainfall as conditions for societal peace.
