तासां गवां रक्षणाय धृतो गिरिवरस्तदा ॥ सोऽन्नकूट इति ख्यातः सर्वतः शक्रपूजितः ॥
tāsāṃ gavāṃ rakṣaṇāya dhṛto girivaras tadā || so'nnakūṭa iti khyātaḥ sarvataḥ śakrapūjitaḥ ||
गायों को बचाने के लिए कृष्ण ने वो परबत उठा लिया। उस परबत का नाम अन्नकूट पड़ गया और इंद्र भी उसकी पूजा करने लगा।
