The Efficacy and Merit of Cakra-tīrtha
api kīṭaḥ pataṅgo vā jāyate sa caturbhujaḥ ||
Varāha
It preserves a common Purāṇic trope: extraordinary merit attached to a sacred locale expressed through striking rebirth imagery (caturbhuja).
The location is implicit from the preceding verse: Mathurā.
The passage underscores the theme of upliftment—depicting moral/spiritual elevation as accessible even to the lowest forms of life within the narrative’s sacred geography.
