The Sacred Geography and Merit of Dvārakā
sūryalokaṃ samutsṛjya mama loke mahīyate || tatrāścaryaṃ pravakṣyāmi viṣṇuṃ śatrugaṇeśvaram ||
Varāha (default dialogue framework)
It shows how Purāṇic texts connect pilgrimage merit with cosmological destinations, integrating sacred geography with layered world-systems (lokas).
No specific earthly location is named in this verse; it references cosmic realms (sūryaloka, ‘my world’).
The implied instruction is that disciplined engagement with the sacred site and its practices yields elevated post-mortem or trans-cosmic status.
