स्नानं वा मरणं देव यथावद्वक्तुमर्हसि ॥ श्रीवराह उवाच ॥ शृणु देवि महाभागे पूर्वधर्मकृतो नराः ॥
snānaṁ vā maraṇaṁ deva yathāvad vaktum arhasi || śrī-varāha uvāca || śṛṇu devi mahābhāge pūrva-dharma-kṛto narāḥ ||
देवी ने कहा, भगवान, स्नान का या मरण का पूरा मतलब समझाओ। वराह बोले, सुनो देवी, मैं बताता हूँ वो लोग कैसे बनते हैं जो पहले अच्छे काम करते हैं।
