The Greatness of Kubjāmraka: Raibhya’s Boon and the Teaching on the Sacred Tīrthas
yasmin snātvā viśālākṣi gacchate nandanaṃ vanam || divyaṃ varṣasahasraṃ vai modate cāpsaraiḥ saha
Varāha (default dialogue framework)
It exemplifies tīrtha-māhātmya reward language, important for studying pilgrimage promotion and cosmological imagination in Purāṇas.
The verse points to an unnamed tīrtha (contextually linked to “Mānasa” earlier) and mentions Nandana grove as a mythic-heavenly location.
The instruction encourages ritual bathing as a disciplined practice associated with merit, framed in a culturally conventional reward idiom.
