The Greatness of Kubjāmraka: Raibhya’s Boon and the Teaching on the Sacred Tīrthas
tayā saha mahārāja ghoraṃ yuddham avarttata || māghamāsasya dvādaśyāṃ tatra kaścin na paśyati ||
Varāha (default dialogue frame)
It exemplifies Purāṇic narrative time-marking (lunar month and tithi), which can be compared with broader Indic calendrical references in textual historiography.
The verse does not name a specific site beyond an implied battlefield context; it follows from the prior mention of Prāgjyotiṣa/Kosala in the narrative sequence.
Implicitly, it underscores the destructive consequences of violent conflict; however, the passage remains primarily narrative rather than explicitly normative.
