The Greatness of Kubjāmraka: Raibhya’s Boon and the Teaching on the Sacred Tīrthas
yadīcchasi mahārāja śrotuṃ guhyam idaṃ mahat || āgaccha tāta kubjāmre mayā saha mahīpate
Varāha (default dialogue framework)
It frames a tīrtha-māhātmya episode as a guided journey, a common Purāṇic literary device used to anchor sacred geography in narrative dialogue.
Kubjāmra is named as the destination; it appears as a localized sacred site (tīrtha) in the text, though its precise modern identification may require regional toponymic study.
The verse emphasizes disciplined seeking of knowledge—approaching a place of instruction and listening to a ‘guhya’ teaching with intent.
