Recitation with translationYagyavalkya Upanishad 28

ripau baddhe svadehe ca samaikātmyam prapaśyataḥ | vivekinaḥ kutaḥ kopaḥ svadehāvayaveṣv iva ||28||

For the discriminating one who clearly perceives the same oneness of Self in an enemy and in one’s own body, whence could there be anger—just as (there is no anger) toward the limbs of one’s own body?

Atman (samaikātmyadarśana)Mahavakya: Supports the import of ‘ayam ātmā brahma’ and ‘tat tvam asi’ by extending Self-identity to all beings; not a direct mahāvākya citation.YajurŚukla (Vājasaneyin) ShakhaChandas: Anuṣṭubh (śloka)
