Dhyanabindu Upanishad 38: Verse 38

यथैवोत्पलनालेन तोयमाकर्षयेन्नरः । तथैवोत्कर्षयेद्वायुं योगी योगपथे स्थितः ॥३८॥

IAST Transliteration

yathaivotpalanālena toyam ākarṣayen naraḥ | tathaivotkarṣayed vāyuṃ yogī yogapathe sthitaḥ ||38||

Translation

जैसे कोई इंसान कमल के डांडे से पानी ऊपर खींचता है। वैसे ही जो योगी योग के रास्ते पर चल रहा है, वो अपनी साँस को ऊपर खींचता है।

Academic Translation

Just as a man draws up water by means of a lotus-stalk, so indeed the yogin, established on the path of yoga, should draw up the vital air (vāyu).
