By exhalation, the knowledge-natured adept should contemplate in the forehead the three-eyed, pure-crystal-like, partless destroyer of sin; the lotus-leaf with the flower downward, stalk upward, downward-facing; resembling a banana-blossom—Śiva made of all the Vedas; with a hundred spokes, rich with a hundred petals, with a dispersed lotus-pericarp. There one should contemplate, one above another, the sun, moon, and fire. Having opened the lotus and contemplated the awakening moon, fire, and sun, drawing forth its heart-seed, one abides firmly as the Self.

Nirvikala (partless) Self as Śiva; dhyāna leading to steadiness (dhruvatva) in ĀtmanMahavakya: Supports mahāvākya purport by contemplatively internalizing divinity as the Self (closest to ‘ayam ātmā brahma’ and ‘tat tvam asi’ in intent, though not quoted)AtharvaChandas: Mixed/irregular (post-Vedic yogic śloka style)
