Amritnada Upanishad: Verse 17
आगमस्याविरोधेन ऊहनं तर्क उच्यते ।
समं मन्येत यं लब्ध्वा स समाधिः प्रकीर्तितः ॥१७॥
आगमस्य । अविरोधेन । ऊहनम् । तर्कः । उच्यते ।
समम् । मन्येत । यम् । लब्ध्वा । सः । समाधिः । प्रकीर्तितः ।
āgamasyāvirodhena ūhanaṃ tarka ucyate |
samaṃ manyeta yaṃ labdhvā sa samādhiḥ prakīrtitaḥ ||17||
तर्क मतलब सोचना, पर शास्त्र के खिलाफ नहीं चलना। जो लोग ऐसे सोचते हैं, वो सब कुछ बराबर समझते हैं। इस स्टेट को पा के इंसान समाधि में चला जाता है। यह वो जगह है जहाँ मन पूरी तरह शांत हो जाता है।
Reasoning (tarka) is said to be inference/reflection (ūhana) that does not contradict scripture (āgama). Having attained that (state) by which one regards (everything) as equal—this is proclaimed to be samādhi.
