One who knows the classification of categories understands the discernment of what ought and ought not to be done, like a householder who has mastered his household. He gradually abandons pride, egoism, envy, greed, and excessive delusion—even when they still remain outwardly—like a snake its skin. With such a disposition, through service to scripture, the teacher, and the good, he properly comprehends the teaching together with its inner purport, completely.

Antaḥkaraṇa-śuddhi (purification of mind) supporting jñānaMahavakya: Indirect: establishes the inner fitness for mahāvākya-based realization.AtharvaChandas: Anuṣṭubh (śloka-style; post-Vedic metrical Sanskrit)
