Adhyatma Upanishad 47: Verse 47
साधुभिः पूज्यमानेऽस्मिन्पीड्यमानेऽपि दुर्जनैः । समभावो भवेद्यस्य स जीवन्मुक्त इष्यते॥४७॥
साधुभिः पूज्यमाने अस्मिन् पीड्यमाने अपि दुर्जनैः । सम-भावः भवेत् यस्य सः जीवन्-मुक्तः इष्यते ॥
sādhubhiḥ pūjyamāne’smin pīḍyamāne’pi durjanaiḥ | samabhāvo bhaved yasya sa jīvanmukta iṣyate ||47||
ऐसा इंसान जिको अच्छे लोग पूजा करें या बुरे लोग सताएं। उसका मन दोनों में समे रहता है। न वो खुश होता है जब कोई उसकी तारीफ करे। न दुखता है जब कोई बुरा बोले। ऐसा आदमी भी जीवनमुक्त है।
When he is honored by the virtuous and even when he is afflicted by the wicked, the one whose attitude remains even is regarded as liberated while living.
