Soma Pavamāna
This short Pavamāna hymn praises Soma as he “goes forth” in the act of purification, moving as living streams that bring awakened, conscious wealth (cetaná rayí). It asks Soma to swell with gathered strength from all sides and to be present at the assembly of vāja (victorious force), culminating in a prayer for Indu’s friendship as the lord who upholds becoming and the worlds.

Mantra 1
प्र सोमासः स्वाध्यः पवमानासो अक्रमुः । रयिं कृण्वन्ति चेतनम् ॥
सोम की धारें आगे बढ़ रही हैं और अपने आप को साफ करती हैं। यह हमारे लिए ऐसी धन लाती हैं जो हमें जागृत रखती है।

दिवस्पृथिव्या अधि भवेन्दो द्युम्नवर्धनः । भवा वाजानां पतिः ॥
हे इंदु, आसमान और धरती के ऊपर रहो। तू ताकत बढ़ाने वाला है। तू वो शक्ति का मालिक बन जा जो हमें आगे ले जाती है।

तुभ्यं वाता अभिप्रियस्तुभ्यमर्षन्ति सिन्धवः । सोम वर्धन्ति ते महः ॥
सोम के लिए हवा खुशी से चलती है। नदियाँ उसकी तरफ बहाती हैं। सोम, तेरी बड़ाई बढ़ रही है। तेरी ताकत का कोई एंड नहीं।

आ प्यायस्व समेतु ते विश्वतः सोम वृष्ण्यम् । भवा वाजस्य संगथे ॥
सोम, तू पूरा भर जा। तेरी ताकत चारों तरफ से तेरे पास आए। तू वोह जगह पे मौजूद हो जहाँ सब ताकत मिल रही है।

तुभ्यं गावो घृतं पयो बभ्रो दुदुह्रे अक्षितम् । वर्षिष्ठे अधि सानवि ॥
सोम, गाय तेरे लिए घी और दूध देती हैं। यह कभी खत्म नहीं होता। तू उन पहाड़ियों पे रहता है जहाँ बारिश सबसे ज़्यादा होती है।

स्वायुधस्य ते सतो भुवनस्य पते वयम् । इन्दो सखित्वमुश्मसि ॥
इंदु, हम तेरे साथ दोस्ती चाहते हैं। तू दुनिया का मालिक है। तेरी अपनी ताकत है। हमारे काम में हमारा साथ दे।
