Soma Pavamāna
This short Pavamāna hymn praises Soma as he flows over the purifier (pavitra), becoming bright and powerful through the act of cleansing. As the inspired “kavi,” Soma drives away crookedness and harm, seeks the radiant “herds” (rays/wealth), and hastens through the mid-region toward Indra to empower victorious divine action.

Mantra 1
एष कविरभिष्टुतः पवित्रे अधि तोशते । पुनानो घ्नन्नप स्रिधः ॥
यह रिशि है, लोग उसकी बहुत तारीफ करते हैं। वो साफ करने वाली जगह पर खुश है। खुद को साफ कर रहा है, बुरी चीज़ों को मार रहा है।

एष इन्द्राय वायवे स्वर्जित्परि षिच्यते । पवित्रे दक्षसाधनः ॥
यह सोम रस इंद्र और वायु के लिए छाना जा रहा है। यह उनके लिए है जो स्वर्ग जीतना चाहते हैं। यह रस ताकत और काम करने की समझ देता है।

एष नृभिर्वि नीयते दिवो मूर्धा वृषा सुतः । सोमो वनेषु विश्ववित् ॥
लोग इस सोम रस को आगे ले जाते हैं। यह आसमान के सबसे ऊपर पहुँचता है। यह हर चीज़ जानता है, अंदर की तरफ।

एष गव्युरचिक्रदत्पवमानो हिरण्ययुः । इन्दुः सत्राजिदस्तृतः ॥
यह सोम रस चमक माँगता है, साफ होने के बाद। यह सोना जैसी रोशनी चाहता है। यह लड़ाई में हमेशा जीतता है।

एष सूर्येण हासते पवमानो अधि द्यवि । पवित्रे मत्सरो मदः ॥
यह सोम रस सूरज के साथ खेलता है, जब साफ हो रहा है। आसमान में ऊपर, यह खुशी और मस्ती देता है।

एष शुष्म्यसिष्यददन्तरिक्षे वृषा हरिः । पुनान इन्दुरिन्द्रमा ॥
यह ताकतवाला हवा में तेज़ जाता है। यह पीला-भूरा रंग का है। यह सोम रस इंद्र की ताकत बढ़ाने के लिए जाता है।
