वो रिशि की तरह है जो सीधी बात समझता है, जिसका दिमाग खुला है। देवता ने उसे बार-बार इंसान के पास भेजा है। ताकि भगवान का ज्ञान इंसान में आ जाए।

Outer meaning

Agni is likened to a seer of luminous intelligence; the gods have repeatedly placed him among mortals.

Inner meaning

The divine powers establish within the human being a conscious flame that is itself ‘kavi’—a seeing will. Agni becomes the inner priest of discernment (pracetas), enabling the mortal nature to host divine perception and right inspiration again and again until it stabilizes.

Universal truth

Human consciousness grows by repeated descents/establishments of a higher seeing-force within; illumination is not a single event but a progressive enthronement.

Themes

Agni as inner priest, installation of divine consciousness, illumined seership (kavi), inner ascent aided by the gods

Other hymns
RV 8.84.1, RV 8.84.3, RV 8.84.4, RV 8.84.5

Family tradition

Aṣṭaka hymns often preserve collective or less-certain attributions; the diction aligns with Angirasa-Agni themes (seer-fire, hidden light).

Significance

The rishi speaks from an initiatory psychology: Agni is not merely worshipped outside but installed as an inner kavi—transforming mortality by divine sight.

Devata
Agni (as Kavi, Pracetas)
Epithets
Kavi (seer), Pracetas (wide-luminous consciousness), Devādhita (established by the gods)

Sarasvatī (inspiration), Bṛhaspati (word of truth), Indra (illumined mind)

Bearer of divine intelligence into the human world; awakener of inspiration; link between immortal powers and mortal mind-life.

Inner power

Illuminative will—perception that acts; the flame that both sees and executes truth.

Where it is used

Agni praise within soma/yajña sequences (general)
