Triṣṭubh (probable)
This hymn is Atri’s urgent dawn-invocation to the Aśvins (Nā́satyā), asking the swift twin healers to hear his call and arrive with protective help and prosperity. कूष्ठो देवावश्विनाद्या दिवो मनावसू । तच्छ्रवथो वृषण्वसू अत्रिर्वामा विवासति ॥
अश्विन भगवान, आज तुम्हारा स्थान पक्का है। तुम आसमान से आए हो और तुम्हारे पास बड़े ख़ज़ाने हैं। अत्रि ऋषि तुम्हारे लिए पूजा कर रहा है। तुम बड़े बलवान हो, उसकी आवाज़ सुनो।

कुह त्या कुह नु श्रुता दिवि देवा नासत्या । कस्मिन्ना यतथो जने को वां नदीनां सचा ॥
अश्विन भगवान, तुम कहाँ हो? आसमान में तुम्हारी आवाज़ कहाँ सुनी जाती है? तुम किस गाँव या शहर में जा रहे हो? नदियों के साथ-साथ तुम्हारा कौन साथी है जो तुम्हारे साथ चल रहा है?

कं याथः कं ह गच्छथः कमच्छा युञ्जाथे रथम् । कस्य ब्रह्माणि रण्यथो वयं वामुश्मसीष्टये ॥
तुम किसके पास जा रहे हो, किसलिए सफ़र कर रहे हो? अपनी रथ किस तरफ़ मोड़ रहे हो? किस के मंत्र तुम्हे अच्छे लगते हैं? हम दोनों के लिए तरस रहे हैं, यज्ञ पूरा हो इसलिए।

पौरं चिद्ध्युदप्रुतं पौर पौराय जिन्वथः । यदीं गृभीततातये सिंहमिव द्रुहस्पदे ॥
जो कोई शहर का है, पानी में डूब रहा हो, तुम उसको ताकत देते हो। जब कोई दुश्मन उसको पकड़ ले, तुम उसको आज़ाद करते हो जैसे शेर को धोखेबाज़ के फ़ाँद से बचा लो।

प्र च्यवानाज्जुजुरुषो वव्रिमत्कं न मुञ्चथः । युवा यदी कृथः पुनरा काममृण्वे वध्वः ॥
च्यवन ऋषि बूढ़े हो गए थे, तुमने उनकी पुरानी झिल्ली नहीं उतारी जैसे कपड़े उतारते हैं। तुमने उनको फिर से जवान बना दिया, और दुल्हन की ख्वाहिश पूरी हो गई।

अस्ति हि वामिह स्तोता स्मसि वां संदृशि श्रिये । नू श्रुतं म आ गतमवोभिर्वाजिनीवसू ॥
यहाँ तुम्हारा एक भक्त है, हम तुम्हारे हैं, तुम्हे देखने के लिए और चमक के लिए। अब हमारी आवाज़ सुन के मेरे पास आओ, मदद लेकर, बलवान लोग।

को वामद्य पुरूणामा वव्ने मर्त्यानाम् । को विप्रो विप्रवाहसा को यज्ञैर्वाजिनीवसू ॥
आज इतने सारे लोगों में से किसने तुम्हे पा लिया? कौन समझदार इंसान तुम्हे अपनी तरफ़ खींच लाया? किसने यज्ञ कर के तुम्हे अपना बनाया, बलवान लोग?

आ वां रथो रथानां येष्ठो यात्वश्विना । पुरू चिदस्मयुस्तिर आङ्गूषो मर्त्येष्वा ॥
अश्विनी कुमार, तुम्हारा रथ सबसे बड़ा है। आज यहाँ आओ। हम लोग तुम्हारे लिए गाना गाते हैं। यह गाना तुम्हे ढूंढता है और लोगों तक पहुँचता है।

शमू षु वां मधूयुवास्माकमस्तु चर्कृतिः । अर्वाचीना विचेतसा विभिः श्येनेव दीयतम् ॥
अश्विनी कुमार, तुम्हारी मदद हमारे लिए है। तुम्हारा काम हमें शांति दे। तुम्हारी नज़र हम पर है। तुम अपनी शक्ति से आओ, जैसे बाज़ उड़ता है।

अश्विना यद्ध कर्हि चिच्छुश्रूयातमिमं हवम् । वस्वीरू षु वां भुजः पृञ्चन्ति सु वां पृचः ॥
अश्विनी कुमार, जब तुम हमारी आवाज़ सुनते हो, तो तुम्हारी खुशियाँ आती हैं। तुम्हारी मदद हम तक पहुँचती है और हमारा काम बढ़ता है।
