Sukta 10.87
त्वं नो अग्ने अधरादुदक्तात्त्वं पश्चादुत रक्षा पुरस्तात् । प्रति ते ते अजरासस्तपिष्ठा अघशंसं शोशुचतो दहन्तु ॥
tvaṃ no agne adharād udaktāt tvaṃ paścād uta rakṣa purastāt | prati te te ajarāsas tapiṣṭhā aghaśaṃsaṃ śośucato dahantu ||
अग्नि, तुम हमारी रक्षा करो। नीचे से भी, ऊपर से भी। पीछे से भी, आगे से भी। तुम्हारी आग कभी बुद्धि नहीं होती। वो सबसे ज़्यादा गरम है। जो भी बुरा बोलके हमारे पीछे पड़ा है, उसको जला के राख कर दो।
