Sukta 1.163
अत्रा ते रूपमुत्तममपश्यं जिगीषमाणमिष आ पदे गोः । यदा ते मर्तो अनु भोगमानळादिद्ग्रसिष्ठ ओषधीरजीगः ॥
átrā te rūpám uttamám apaśyaṃ jígīṣamāṇam iṣá ā padé góḥ | yadā́ te márto ánu bhógam ānáḷ ād íd grásiṣṭha óṣadhīr ajīgaḥ ||
मैंने तुम्हारा सबसे बड़ा रूप देखा। तुम जीत के लिए तैयार थे, रोशनी की तरफ बढ़ रहे थे। जब कोई इंसान सिर्फ अपनी खुशी के पीछे भागता है, सच्चे रास्ते को छोड़ के, तो वो नीचे गिर जाता है। फिर वो सिर्फ घास-पत्थर खाता है, रोशनी की जगह।
