सीता, जनक की बेटी, राम को बहुत प्यारी हो गई। वो देवियों जैसी सुंदर थी। देखने में लक्ष्मी जैसी लगती थी।
Sita was an embodiment of Lakshmi (goddess of wealth). In beauty she was like a goddess. Born in the city of Mithila as daughter to Janaka, she was always especially dear to him.
The verse exemplifies Grihastha Dharma (householder duty) and the sacred nature of marriage. Sita's increasing devotion to Rama and their mutual bond represents the ideal of Pativrata Dharma - a wife's complete dedication to her husband, while Rama's reciprocated love shows the husband's duty of honor and care.
This verse concludes the Balakanda, describing the deepening bond between Rama and Sita after their marriage. Valmiki emphasizes Sita's divine nature by comparing her to Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and Vishnu's consort, foreshadowing Rama's identity as Vishnu's avatar.
The virtue of unwavering marital devotion (Pativrata) is emphasized through Sita, while divine grace and beauty are highlighted through her comparison to Lakshmi. The verse also emphasizes the virtue of mutual love and spiritual connection between husband and wife.
