Sukta 9
अ॒ष्ट जा॒ता भू॒ता प्र॑थम॒जर्तस्या॒ष्टेन्द्र॒र्त्विजो॒ दैव्या॒ ये। अ॒ष्टयो॑नि॒रदि॑तिर॒ष्टपु॑त्राष्ट॒मीं रात्रि॑म॒भि ह॒व्यमे॑ति
aṣṭá jātā́ bhūtā́ prathamajártasyāṣṭéndrartvíjo daivyā́ yé | aṣṭáyonir áditiḥ aṣṭáputrāṣṭamī́ṃ rā́trim abhí havyám eti ||
Eight beings are born of the first begetting; eight are Indra’s divine officiants who (serve). Eight-wombed is Aditi, eight-soned: unto the eighth Night she comes, toward the oblation.
पहले पैदा होने वाले आठ जीव निकले। इंद्र के लिए आठ देवता काम करते हैं। अदिति माता की आठ कोख है, आठ बेटे है। वो आठवीं रात को हवन के पास आती है।
