Sukta 30
नमो॑ य॒माय॒ नमो॑ अस्तु मृ॒त्यवे॒ नमः॑ पि॒तृभ्य॑ उ॒त ये नय॑न्ति । उ॒त्पार॑णस्य॒ यो वेद॒ तम॒ग्निं पु॒रो द॑धे॒ऽस्मा अ॑रिष्टता॑तये
námo yamā́ya námo astu mṛtyáve námaḥ pitṛ́bhya utá yé náyanti | utpā́raṇasya yó véda tám agníṃ puró dadhé ’smā́ áriṣṭatātaye
Homage to Yama; homage be to Death; homage to the Fathers, and to those who lead away. Whoso knoweth the saving passage, he setteth Agni in front for this man, for his unharmed security.
यमराज को प्रणाम, मौत को प्रणाम, और अपने पुरखों को भी प्रणाम जो यहाँ से ले जाते हैं। जो इंसान को बचाने का रास्ता जानता है, वो अग्नि को आगे लगा देता है ताकि कोई बुरा असर न हो।
