उप॑ नः सु॒तमा ग॑हि॒ सोम॑मिन्द्र॒ गवा॑शिरम्। हरि॑भ्यां॒ यस्ते॑ अस्म॒युः
इंद्र, हमारे पास आ। हमने सोम रस निचोड़ा है, दूध में मिलाया है। अपने भूरे घोड़ों के साथ आ। तू हमपे अच्छा सोचता है।

तमि॑न्द्र॒ मद॒मा ग॑हि बर्हि॒ष्ठां ग्राव॑भिः सु॒तम्। क॒विन्न्वऽस्य तृ॒प्णवः॑
हे इंद्र, आओ और इस मद के पास पहुँचो। यह सोम रस है जो पवित्र घास पर रखा है। पत्थर से निचोड़ के निकाला है। तुम तो बड़े ज्ञानी हो, इससे पीओ और खुश हो जाओ।

इन्द्रमि॒त्था गिरो॒ ममाच्छा॑गुरिषि॒ता इ॒तः । आ॒वृते॒ सोम॑पीतये
मेरे गाने इंद्र तक पहुँच गए हैं। अब इंद्र को वापस आना चाहिए सोम पीने के लिए। सोम एक स्पेशल पेय है जो भगवान लोग पीते हैं। गाना भेज दिया, अब इंद्र का आना बाकी है।

इन्द्रं॒ सोम॑स्य पी॒तये॒ स्तोमै॑रि॒ह ह॑वामहे । उ॒क्थेभिः॑ कु॒विदा॒गम॑त्
हम इंद्र को बुला रहे हैं सोम पीने के लिए। गाने और बोल के साथ बुला रहे हैं। क्या वो आएगा? यह उम्मीद है कि वो ज़रूर आएगा। बुलाना चलू है, देखो क्या होता है।

इन्द्र॒ सोमाः॑ सु॒ता इ॒मे तान् द॑धिष्व शतक्रतो । ज॒ठरे॑ वाजिनीवसो
इंद्र, यह सोम तयार है पीने के लिए। इसको अपने पेट में रख लो। इंद्र बहुत ताकत वाला है और जीता रहता है। सोम पी कर वो और स्ट्रांग हो जाता है।

वि॒द्मा हि त्वा॑ धनंज॒यं वाजे॑षु दधृ॒षं क॑वे । अधा॑ ते सु॒म्नमी॑महे
हम जानते हैं कि इंद्र धन जीता है और लड़ाई में आगे रहता है। वो बहुत समझदार है। इसलिए हम उससे भीख माँग रहे हैं कि वो हमारे काम आए। उसकी कृपा से काम बनेगा।

इ॒ममि॑न्द्र॒ गवा॑शिरं॒ यवा॑शिरं च नः पिब । आ॒गत्या॒ वृष॑भिः सु॒तम्
यह सोमरस है, इंद्र के लिए। इसमें दूध मिला है, और जो भी मिला है। इंद्र, तुम अपने साथियों के साथ आओ। यह रस तुम्हारे लिए तैयार है, पियो। हम लोगों की तरफ से यह तुम्हे पीना है।

तुभ्येदि॑न्द्र॒ स्व ओ॒क्ये॒३ सोमं॑ चोदामि पी॒तये॑ । ए॒ष रा॑रन्तु ते हृ॒दि
इन्द्र, तुम्हारे अपने घर के लिए सोम को तैयार कर रहा हूँ। तुम उसे पियो और खुश हो जाओ। यह तुम्हारे दिल में खुशी लाए।

त्वां सु॒तस्य॑ पी॒तये॑ प्र॒त्नमि॑न्द्र हवामहे । कु॒शि॒कासो॑ अव॒स्यवः॑
इन्द्र, हम तुम्हे बुला रहे हैं। तुम पुराने हो, सोम पीयो। हम कुशिक वंश के लोग हैं, तुम्हारी मदद माँग रहे हैं।
