अ॒भि त्वा॑ वृषभा सु॒ते सु॒तं सृ॑जामि पी॒तये॑ । तृ॒म्पा व्यऽश्नुही॒ मद॑म्
हे बैल, मैं सोम रस तेरे लिए निकाल रहा हूँ। यह पीये के लिए है। तू खुश हो जा, इसके नशे का पूरा मज़ा ले।

मा त्वा॑ मू॒रा अ॑वि॒ष्यवो॒ मोप॒हस्वा॑न॒ आ द॑भन्। माकीं॑ ब्रह्म॒द्विषो॑ वनः
यह मंत्र कहता है कि मूर्ख लोग तुम्हे तकलीफ न दे सकें। जो लोग बुरा सोचते हैं, वो तुम्हे हाथ न लगा सकें। जो लोग मज़ाक उड़ाते हैं, वो तुम्हे छेड़ न सकें। जो भगवान की शक्ति से नफ़रत करते हैं, वो कभी तुमपे भारी न पड़ जाएँ।

इ॒ह त्वा॒ गोप॑रीणसा म॒हे म॑न्दन्तु॒ राध॑से । सरो॑ गौ॒रो यथा॑ पिब
यहाँ तुम्हे वो ड्रिंक पिलाई जाये जो तुम्हे खुश कर दे और बड़े इनाम दे। इंद्र, तुम पियो जैसे किसी झील से पानी पी रहे हो। तुम्हारा रंग पीला है जैसे सूरज की रोशनी।

अ॒भि प्र गोप॑तिं गि॒रेन्द्र॑मर्च॒ यथा॑ वि॒दे। सू॒नुं स॒त्यस्य॒ सत्प॑तिम्
गाने गाओ और इंद्र की तारीफ करो। वो गायों का मालिक है। सच का बेटा है, अच्छा मालिक है। उसे जीतने की कोशिश करो।

आ हर॑यः ससृज्रि॒रेऽरु॑षी॒रधि॑ ब॒र्हिषि॑ । यत्रा॒भि सं॒नवा॑महे
पीले और लाल घोड़े आए हैं। वो घास पर बैठे हैं जहाँ हम अपनी पूजा कर रहे हैं। हम इंद्र को बुला रहे हैं।

इन्द्रा॑य॒ गाव॑ आ॒शिरं॑ दुदु॒ह्रे व॒ज्रिणे॒ मधु॑ । यत् सी॑मुपह्व॒रे वि॒दत्
गायों ने इंद्र के लिए मीठा दूध निकाला है। इंद्र वज्र वाले हैं, उनके लिए यह ड्रिंक है। जब उन्होंने बुलाया तो वो मिल गए।
