Sukta 19
वाजे॑षु सास॒हिर्भ॑व॒ त्वामी॑महे शतक्रतो । इन्द्र॑ वृ॒त्राय॒ हन्त॑वे
vā́jeṣu sāsahír bhava tvā́m īmahe śatakrato | índra vṛtrā́ya hántave
In contests be thou the overpowerer: thee we invoke, O Śatakratu—O Indra—to smite the Obstructor.
जब कोई मुकाबला हो, तब तुम सबसे बड़े हो जाओ, दुश्मन पर भारी पड़ने वाला। शतक्रतु, हम तुम्हे बुला रहे हैं। इंद्र, वृत्र रोकने वाले को मारना है, इसलिए आओ।
