Sukta 44
आञ्ज॑नं पृथि॒व्यां जा॒तं भ॒द्रं पु॑रुष॒जीव॑नम्। कृ॒णोत्वप्र॑मायुकं॒ रथ॑जूति॒मना॑गसम्
ā́ñjanaṃ pṛthivyā́ṃ jātáṃ bhadráṃ puruṣajī́vanam | kṛṇótv ápramāyúkaṃ rathájūtim anā́gasam
Añjana, born upon the Earth, auspicious, the life of man,—let it make (him) not doomed to untimely death, of chariot-swiftness, and without blame.
अँजन नाम की चीज़ धरती पर पैदा हुई है। यह इंसान के लिए भली है, उसकी जान बचाती है। इसकी यह दुआ है कि इंसान का वक़्त से पहले मौत न हो। यह रथ की तरह तेज़ है और किसी तरह की बुरी बात नहीं।
