आकूतिः। यामाहु॑तिं प्रथ॒मामथ॑र्वा॒ या जा॒ता या ह॒व्यमकृ॑णोज्जा॒तवे॑दाः । तां त॑ ए॒तां प्र॑थ॒मो जो॑हवीमि॒ ताभि॑ष्टु॒प्तो व॑हतु ह॒व्यम॒ग्निर॒ग्नये॒ स्वाहा॑
यह पहला आहुति है जो अथर्व रिशि ने बताया था। जातवेदस ने इस्से हवन के लायक बनाया था। मैं इस्से पहले तुम्हारे लिए बुला रहा हूँ। अग्नि खुश हो के यह आहुति ले। अग्नि को, स्वाहा।

आकू॑तिं दे॒वीं सु॒भगां॑ पु॒रो द॑धे चि॒त्तस्य॑ मा॒ता सु॒हवा॑ नो अस्तु । यामा॒शामे॑मि॒ केव॑ली॒ सा मे॑ अस्तु॒ विदे॑यमेनां॒ मन॑सि॒ प्रवि॑ष्टाम्
मैं इच्छा देवी को आगे रख रहा हूँ, जो अच्छी है और सब देती है। यह सोच की माँ है, इस्से आसान से बुलाया जा सके। जो उम्मीद मैं रखता हूँ, वो पूरी हो। वो मेरे मन में आ के बैठ जाए।

आकू॑त्या नो बृहस्पत॒ आकू॑त्या न॒ उपा ग॑हि । अथो॒ भग॑स्य नो धे॒ह्यथो॑ नः सु॒हवो॑ भव
बृहस्पति, मेरी इच्छा के हिसाब से हमारे पास आओ। हमें भाग्य का हिस्सा दो। हमें आसान से बुलाया जा सके।

बृह॒स्पति॑र्म॒ आकू॑तिमाङ्गिर॒सः प्रति॑ जानातु॒ वाच॑मे॒ताम्। यस्य॑ दे॒वा दे॒वताः॑ संबभू॒वुः स सु॒प्रणी॑ताः॒ कामो॒ अन्वे॑त्व॒स्मान्
बृहस्पति, अंगिरस कुल के गुरु, मेरी नियत और यह बात समझ ले। भगवान और देवता सब उसमें मिलते हैं। वो अच्छे से रास्ता दिखाये और हमारी इच्छा पूरी हो।
