Is mantra mein Soma ke pavitra boondon ko gaya gaya hai. Ye boondein Rta ke bataye hue raaste par nikalti hain. Jab ye chhente se guzarti hain to chamakne lagti hain. Soma ko ek jaanwar shakti maana gaya hai jo saf hone ke baad apna sthan leta hai. Gaayak apni bhavna uski taraf lekar uski seva karta hai. Aasman aur dharti saath milkar vijay aur dhan dete hain.

Mantra 1
असृग्रमिन्दवः पथा धर्मन्नृतस्य सुश्रियः । विदाना अस्य योजनम् ॥
Soma ki boondein raaste par nikli hain. Yeh raasta seedha aur sahi hai, aur chamakdaar bhi. Soma jaanta hai ki usko kaise jodna hai, andar ke andar.
Mantra 4
परि यत्काव्या कविर्नृम्णा वसानो अर्षति । स्वर्वाजी सिषासति ॥
Jab rishi taakat pehen ke ghoomta hai, to uske paas kavita ki taakat hoti hai. Woh chaaron taraf failta hai. Woh suraj ki duniya jeetna chahta hai. Woh sab taakat ko apne control mein lana chahta hai.
Mantra 5
पवमानो अभि स्पृधो विशो राजेव सीदति । यदीमृण्वन्ति वेधसः ॥
Soma apne aap ko saaf kar raha hai. Phir woh ladai-jhagde ke upar baithta hai, jaise raja logon ke upar baithta hai. Yeh tab hota hai jab gyani log use chalate hain aur uthate hain.

अव्यो वारे परि प्रियो हरिर्वनेषु सीदति । रेभो वनुष्यते मती ॥
Bhed ke oon ke through, woh pyara peeta rang wala Soma ghoomta hai. Woh jungle mein baithta hai. Jo log gaana gaate hain, unka mann uski taraf khicha jaata hai aur woh uski seva karte hain.

स वायुमिन्द्रमश्विना साकं मदेन गच्छति । रणा यो अस्य धर्मभिः ॥
Woh khushi se Vayu ke paas jaata hai. Indra ke paas bhi jaata hai, Ashwin bhaiyon ke paas bhi. Yeh woh insaan hai jo apne dharam ke hisaab se jeeta hai. Andar ki ladai jeet ke khush hota hai.

आ मित्रावरुणा भगं मध्वः पवन्त ऊर्मयः । विदाना अस्य शक्मभिः ॥
Meethi lahrein Mitra-Varun ke paas jaati hain. Bhagwan ke paas bhi jaati hain. Yeh lahrein jaanti hain ki uski taakat kya hai. Woh sabko sahi rishte deti hain aur khushi ka hissa deti hain.

अस्मभ्यं रोदसी रयिं मध्वो वाजस्य सातये । श्रवो वसूनि सं जितम् ॥
Aasman aur dharti, tum humare liye dhan kamao. Meethi cheezein lao taaki humara jeet poora ho. Humein acchi badhai do aur sacche khazane ek saath lao.
