Mantra 1
Agni, hum gaate hue tumhe pukarte hain. Gaate hue tumhe aag lagate hain. Gaate hue tumse madad maangte hain, taki tum humare kaam mein saath do.
Mantra 2
Hum Agni ke liye ek gaana bana rahe hain mann mein. Yeh aaj kaam karega, aasman tak pahunchega. Hum bhagwan ki daulat maang rahe hain jo andar ki raah mein saath deti hai.
Mantra 3
Agni hamari baat sun le. Woh insaanon ke beech pujari hai. Woh deviyon ko hamare paas laaye, unki shakti hamare kaam mein aaye.
Mantra 4
Agni, teri phailaav bahut hai. Tujhe sab pasand karte hain, tujhe bulana sabko sahi lagta hai. Tere saath yagya poora hota hai, sab judta hai.
Mantra 5
Agni, tu jeetne wala hai, taakat pane wala hai. Rishi tere liye acche se gaate hain, tujhe badhaate hain. Humein bhi wo taakat de, wo bal de.
Mantra 6
Agni, tu pahiye ki tarah hai, sabko apne mein le leta hai. Devi-devta tere ghere mein hain. Tu hamare paas alag-alag tarah ki daulat laata hai.
It teaches that Agni is awakened by praise and is the key priestly power that makes a sacrifice complete, gathers the gods to it, and brings protection and prosperity.
Because in Vedic ritual, well-formed speech and hymnody are the means to kindle Agni’s presence and effectiveness—praise is both invocation and activation.
It portrays Agni as the central hub of the ritual: just as spokes are held together by the nave, the gods and powers of the sacrifice are gathered and coordinated through Agni.
