Indra
Triṣṭubh (typical for Indra-Soma praise; requires metrical verification)
Is tej Som ki raksha karo. Hey Indra, tumhare paas sab tarah ki rath hai, apne do ghode yahan khhol do. Koi aur log tumhe apni taraf na khichen, yeh Som ras tumhare liye hai.
Mantra 2
Yeh Som ras tumhare liye hai, jo log ras nikalte hain woh bhi tumhare liye kaam kar rahe hain. Swatrya ke gaana tumhe bula rahe hain. Hey Indra, aaj is havan ko khushi se swikaaro, tum sab jaante ho, yahan Som piyo.
Mantra 3
Jo koi bhagwan ko paana chahta hai, woh apne poore dil se Soma juice nikaalta hai Indra ke liye. Indra aise insaan ko apni kirnein kisi aur ko nahi deta. Woh uske liye aisi cheezein bana deta hai jo acchi aur pyaari lagti hain.
Mantra 4
Jis insaan ke paas paisa hai, woh saaf dikhayi deta hai agar woh Indra ke liye Soma juice nahi nikaalta. Bhagwan usse aise jagah phenk deta hai jahan kuch nahi milta. Aur bina bulaye, woh un logon ko maarta hai jo bhajan aur puja se nafrat karte hain.
Mantra 5
Hum ghode jaisi taakat maangte hain, gaay jaisi chamak maangte hain, aur poori taakat maangte hain. Hum tumhe bulate hain ki tum paas aao. Hum apne aap ko tumhari acchi nazar mein sajate hain. Hey Indra, hum tumhe bulate hain ki humara bhala ho aur hum khush rahein.
It asks Indra to come to this specific Soma offering, remain with the worshipper, protect the potent Soma, and grant prosperity—especially cows, horses, and victorious strength.
Indra is imagined arriving by chariot. Asking him to unharness his steeds means: stay here, settle at our ritual place, and accept our Soma rather than rushing elsewhere.
It teaches that when someone offers Soma with a sincere, wholehearted desire for the divine, Indra does not divert that person’s blessings away; instead he makes life more auspicious and admirable for them.
